Partner was doing a show at the nearby Lyric Theatre Hammersmith so we stayed here twice in June. It’s an absolute gem of a hotel. Beautiful architecture - the most gorgeous court yard as you enter, backing onto park and green areas on two sides. The hotel was originally a boy’s school and designed by the architect for the National History Museum and Manchester Town Hall. It was also used for a film, Melody, in the early 1970’s.

Both times we stayed in a classic room which is the most basic but both were lovely. Super clean, luxurious feel, fantastic bathroom. Breakfast when we had it was continental style - lots of choice: eggs, hams, cheese, smoked salmon, pastries, fruit, cereal, breads, yoghurt. The staff are great too - very accommodating and helpful.

Booked through a discount site and had b&b one night midweek for £97 and room only on a Saturday night for £142.

We stayed here last year and it is a truly lovely hotel. Beautiful setting amongst the busy London streets but set back enough to not feel as though you are in London! Lovely history to the hotel and really fantastic rooms.

We have recently booked a suite at St Paul's Hotel for a business meeting and due to the most efficient Manager Carl Weatherhogg - have continued to book it another 8 times!
I spend a lot of time booking hotels and I have never worked with someone as efficient and professional as Carl. He has surpassed all expectations and he has been instrumental in every meeting running smoothly.
We have had to change some of the meeting dates and each time this has been done efficiently and he has gone out of his way to help in any way possible.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with him and the team at St Pauls. Thank you.

Unfortunately we didn't get much time to explore all of the hotel as we used it for a short one night break in London, arriving at the hotel late and leaving early the next morning.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us with a 5 minute walk to the underground.

The room was great, nice comfy bed and was quiet, giving us a good nights sleep.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I felt the service could have been a bit better. No one on reception ever seemed that happy to see us and gave short one sentence instructions. Also our view from our window was a hotel skip. I know location is a premium, but maybe they could have put up some screening around it so guests didn't have to look at it in the morning.

stayed one night for a trip to the Apollo, the hotel was ideally located and exceeded all of our expectations, the room was fantastic, (room 36 executive double) the staff very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was brilliant, one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had and all reasonable priced. will be back when we next attend the Apollo.

Room Tip: we loved room 36 which was an executive double room, try the restaurant as well
