We stayed at the hotel for 1 night on 01/01/14 as we traveled to London to see the PDC darts world championship final. It started well but ended up feeling annoyed and ripped off! It cost us £109.50 for 2 adults.
Checking in staff were friendly and helped us book a taxi and gave us great advice about catching the bus to the O2 Centre rather than paying for a taxi. The from was clean. That's the good stuff!
When we booked were we're looking for a hotel close to the location of Alexandra Palace so we wouldn't have to travel far and a hotel that offered a restaurant so we could eat before going out. We didn't want anything fancy just simple bar food like you would normally expect. When we got to he hotel there was a notice on reception saying no food would be served until 5th January as it was Christmas! What a stupid excuse, a chef that can't work because of Christmas, a very busy period! It does not state this on the website when booking! If so we wouldn't have booked! When it came to breakfast, well I'm not sure what to say. There were no staff around so we were unsure if we waited to be shown a table or helped ourselves. After waiting around for 15 minutes we decided to help ourselves to a table. We have to clear the previous peoples plates ourselves and wipe he table. There were no mugs for tea or coffee and no glasses for the juices! They only had bread rolls, a few pieces of fruit, beans, scrambled eggs, and sausages. We managed to see someone come out of the kitchen who worked there and asked how long the wait was for the bacon, and we were told they would have it tomorrow and advised to come back then! It's a hotel and we had stayed our night and had 24 hours to wait for bacon! We were a few minutes walk from a massive tesco! Unbelievable excuses! We managed to find a plastic cup and had to share it for some orange juice and just left!
My advise, go somewhere else! This place is crazy! Or take your own bacon just in case you have to wait 24 hours too!
