“Great food quality and portion sizes!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

We are here as a group of 5 and had a set menu shared between us all, there was plenty of food and even some left over at the end (and we like our good!) would definitely recommend, we were seated straight away on a Saturday night which was excellent.

“Great value Great service Great food”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

Visited JKL after reading reviews on TA and we were really pleased. Arrived at 5ish and got a table straight away. They were really helpful putting the pushchair away for us. The staff were great with the kids (7 & 2). We went for the £12.50 set menu and at they did not hesitate when we asked them to change a couple of dishes for us. Food was very good and at no point did we feel rushed. The bill came in at £68 which included drinks and a couple of extra starters which I think is more than reasonable for the location (just off Leicester Square). Would recommend.

“Good Chinese food. ”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

Ate here last night and have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food.

It's very close to busy tourist trail and was expecting poor quality at tourist rip off prices (visiting for friends) however I could not fault the meal at all. The crispy duck starter and chicken and prawn dumplings were especially good.

The food was served quickly and the staff were well presented and friendly.

Overall, a good venue with good food which I would thoroughly recommend.

“Good food”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We ate here due to the good reviews on TA.

Pros:
The food was good and served promptly. The wine was good value. My OH liked his squid.

Cons:
The black bean sauce on my dish was a little strong for my taste but it's a matter of personal preference.

The decor downstairs is in need of some serious updating and our table arrangement was peculiar to say the least.

I wouldn't recommend this place for a 'romantic' meal (unless it gets a makeover). However, for decent food at a reasonable price and quick service, it does the job well.
