A friend took us here one Sunday lunch time. We had a short wait and ordinarily I would have resisted waiting given the number of places around. I am glad we decided to stay. The food was a little piece of Paris in the middle of London. The service was efficient but attentive the atmosphere was great. I can not wait to go back.

Aubaine is a beautiful restaurant with a clean, crisp, French feel to the decor. We went for lunch and really enjoyed our food: Crab (delicious!) and squid for starters, seabass and scallops for mains. The scallops were a tiny main course (only 3 scallops!) but tasty all the same. Sides are a bit of a rip off as they are a very small portion size.

However the highlight was the bread and patisseries. The bread basket selection was delicious and transported me back to my holidays in France. For dessert we had a huge mille-feuille and a chocolate eclaire. Both were to die for.

The staff were were friendly and attentive, taking our coats when we arrived and topping up our water through out the meal. The restaurant has a nice warm atmosphere, although on a cold day there's a cold draught from the front door.

Although we enjoyed our meal it wasn't cheap, especially when it was just for lunch. Around £100 for 2 (with wine). Having said that I'd probably go back, even if it's just for coffee and another mille-feuille!

Great tasting food, good size portions, however took a fair while to come out to the table, but other than that, its was truely lovely.

Restaurant windows/ doors open to the street and sets a spacious, embracing ambience. Especially enjoyable in a good summer morning. Serves fresh bread and in general excellent breakfast!
Desserts were average.

Nice little restaurant with quiet atmosphere and lovely decoration. Very good location, easy access either from Picadilly or Oxford Circus. French/french inspired cuisine, excellent butter and good selection of breads, delicious desserts. Wine list ok. The staff are friendly. Very good price-quality.
Could have tablecloths and unfortunatelly, as usual in London, the toilets are in the basement (what about the disabled??).
