“Friendly service, basic Italian fayre.”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

A crowded and popular restaurant but with a high turnover of customers you rarely need to wait long for a table. The service is always very friendly. A good choice of standard Italian dishes. The food is fairly basic but acceptable for the price. The wine list is pricey for this type of restaurant but the house red is quite acceptable. If you are in the mood for a leisurely relaxed meal and chat then this is a great place to go. Likewise if you want a quick but filling sit down meal.

Excellent Italian food. Watch the pizzas being prepared. Super ice cream.

“Be careful to check your bill”
Reviewed 2 January 2011

I ate here with a friend and we had passable pasta, smallish portions and ok service. Had eaten here before a few times and liked the pizzas more.

Do have to say check your bill as we were charged 8.80 for a glass of house white wine when it said nearly half that on the menu.

I am sure they will still get customers but not these two back - this dinner left me with a bad taste overall and with so much choice in London its easy to be happier elsewhere.

“So-so food, disappointing and rude service”
Reviewed 4 November 2010

Landed in this place while looking for some Italian food in Soho: the place looked promising from outside. We were 4 people and the boss of the place gave us a table by the door. Despite it was quite cold outside and a frozen breeze was flowing from outside, the boss was stuborn at keeping it open, ignoring our polite suggestions (both in English and Italian) to close it, rendering our starters not pleasant at all. At a certain point, we insisted on closing the door and he just pushed us to change table and send us to a sordid and dark basement with few scattered tables. After waiting for more than 40 minutes for our pasta, we complained to the waiter and he frankly admitted that they forgot about our order! Finally, after a total of 1 hour wait, our pasta appeared. Frankly, being half Italian, I can say that the food was not more than a coarse approach to Italian cuisine. Left the place not to come never again. Look for somewhere else, you will probably get better service and food

“Found by chance - will be back for sure”
Reviewed 2 July 2010

It was a lovely summer afternoon - there was plenty of people watching to be done as well as some great food and fine wines - plus the charming company of the owner / original chef on the next table.

A delight !
