“Fabulous evening - couldn't fault it!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This was our second visit to the Oxo Tower Restaurant and the occasion was a family meal to celebrate my daughter's graduation earlier that day. From the moment we arrived to have drinks on the terrace to our departure 5 and a half hours later..... we couldn't fault the service, food or drink.

Initially we were seated beside a table with 2 very small children and I asked if it would be possible to move us: I have nothing against children in restaurants but, it was immediately obvious that the noise would spoil our evening. We were moved to a centre window table and it was perfect. All the staff were pleasant and unobtrusively attentive; the Sommelier in particular was extremely helpful. To enhance the experience even further, there was a lovely duo playing French music - simply perfect for the beautfiul summer evening.

Yes, it was a fortune..... we could have paid for flights and a few days in Portugal ..... but we had really splashed out on the wines, champagne etc. and stayed a very long time so felt it was worth the money.

“Go for the view not the food”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Brilliantly organised and works like a well oiled machine this operation extracts the maximum of money painlessly. The views are stunning, the service slick the food average and very expensive. Fine for a treat to say you have been but we will not go back.

I was taken here a surprise for my birthday, it was an amazing place. The quality of service is absolutely amazing, the staff overall were very polite and had an amazing understanding of the variety of wine and food on offer.

The quality of food was fantastic. Overall, highly recommend the experience.

“NOT afternoon tea”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

I thought the NOT afternoon tea was very over priced for what it was , which was 1 glass of champagne. 4 small pieces of cake and a coffee , definitely something I would not recommend, the service was just ok, they didn't seem interested in us at all, especially as we asked if we could sit outside on the terrace but was repeatedly told there wasn't any tables for 5 people when clearly we could see there were plenty ,as soon as we had finished eating, which didn't take long as there was much to eat, we were handed a bill for £212 which I thought was disgusting with a massive service charge to say there wasn't much service, it spoilt a very special day as we had just been in the house of lord to collect an award for an outstanding achievement. the whole experience of dining here was definitely not outstanding , I would not be recommending this place o anyone.

“Room with a View”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Lovely dinner at the Oxo Tower on Tuesday with Boo, I was amazed at how busy it still is. Restaurants in London seem to pass their sell-by dates very quickly, but not this one! Great service in this fully booked and large eaterie, fabulous views, great cocktails and the food was much better than I expected. My main course, salmo was huuuge, although my creme brulee was quite wee! The waiting staff were seriously on their toes, and yet found the time to chat knowledgeably about the food, and be both friendly and attentive. Had the house red, which was mellow and smooth, no complaints at all.

It's well worth going on to the terrace for a look at the views, they are spectacular.

We booked their own £30 for 3 courses and a cocktail deal and thought we had great food with great VFM.
