Description: Run by Abdel and Frances Boukraa he hailing from Djerba, Tunisia, she English born and bred Adams Caf is a thriving family affair which has grown over the years to become one of Shepherds Bushs most popular restaurants. A caf by day and a restaurant serving North African cuisine by night, Adams Caf is a bustling local hub, informal and authentic, decorated in mosaics and cheerful colours. It may serve the biggest and best breakfast on Askew Road but this is no greasy spoon. Visit in the evening and find yourself greeted by the spice infused aromas of Tunisia and Morocco. The menu consists simply of couscous dishes alongside grills and tagines, each based precisely on Abdels experience of home cooking. You really wont find a more authentic taste of North Africa in the capital.

Fry-up breakfasts in the morning (I have never been for this), the restaurant then turns into a respectable Tunisian restaurant in the evening! There's a really nice atmosphere, and it is often busy with locals even on weekdays - very tasty tagines!

This place looks very unassuming from the outside but my boyfriend and I decided to try it as it's very local to our new home - we were certainly not disappointed! The restaurant is not too big which ensures a good atmosphere and the service was local and friendly throughout. There is plenty of variety on the menu and incredible value for money given the amount of meat/fish to choose from. I had a plate of whole (shelled) shrimps to start, lamb tagine with cous cous and a lemon tart for dessert. All cooked perfectly and super tasty.

At £17.50 for 3 courses (with a small supplement for the more expensive items such as sea bass), this place is a real gem. You can also take your own wine on ANY night at only £4 corkage per bottle.

Thoroughly recommend and will be returning very soon to try out more on the menu.
