Description: From the street the Norfolk Arms is your typical London pub. A place where Charles Dickens might drink with Samuel Pepys. Mix and match benches and tables clutter the pavement where rather than bewigged gentlemen local business-types and shoppers refresh after a hard day at the coalface. Inside the traditional feel continues while a lively ambience and fresh paint keep the look free from old-man-and-dog territory. A new breed of gastropub, the Norfolk Arms has already gained critical acclaim, thanks in part to its novel ordering concept. Nevermind starters and mains, this is tapas-meets-home cooking, where you just keep ordering plates of food until you can scarf no more. Roast dinners, pates, scotch eggs and pork belly are joined by Mediterranean flavours throughout.

I had an excellent fish dinner here with very good beer. Not cheap but worth it.Service is good, not fussy. Noise level a little too high. Interior has a genuine neighborhood feel. You must reserve.

I am aware that the staff at this pub are quite miserable but due to the fact it is close to my house i do enjoy going there for for a drink and choose to ignore it. However I was enjoying a drink there and witnessed a mouse run across the pub floor! When i alerted the staff one girl said "yes we know" and i jumped up and moved away and alerted another gentleman and he said "no we don't , you are mistaken" after other members of staff had witnessed it. This is very concerning as they prepare starters on the same floor where the mouse was seen! Bad attitude and bad hygiene i will not be attending again.

Not really a pub, just a restaurant with rude staff. They should change the name and whole "pub" look of the place in order to spare innocent passers-by from assuming this is a pub. Pubs, for those who don't know, are places where people can go and drink alcohol. Beer and wine are common choices and people often sit at tables so that they can talk to their friends.
At the Norfolk Arms, however, the staff have other ideas. In the Norfolk Arms, all of the tables inside are reserved for diners. To get around this you can book a table at which to drink your beer but you must leave it by 6.30pm (to make way for diners). Also please note that if your table has six chairs, but you are a group of seven people, you will not be allowed to pull up another chair. This is not allowed.
So, having been told that you cannot push two tables together, and you cannot pull up another chair, you might think you can go and stand outside with your pint like any other pub in London. But no, you are not allowed to stand outside (a waiter immediately comes to tell you), only sit at one of the tables (which were full with diners when I was there). So back in you come and try to stand by the bar, but no, a waiter imediately tells you that you cannot stand there because you are in the way. So, if you haven't booked a table you are left with the wonderful option of occupying a four foot wide stretch of the bar, where stroppy waiters will shove past you and sigh angrily.
The service and attitude at this third-rate little tapas restaurant is so appalling I actually found the experience quite amusing. Just don't make the same mistake I made and assume that a) this I a pub where you can enjoy a relaxing drink with friends and b) the staff want you there.

This gastro pub near Kings Cross Station should be ashamed of the service and quality of food. We were 5 crammed in to a table of 4 on a Thursday night. Wooden tables and chairs were uncomfortable. If it wasn't for my family it would have been a total disaster. Drinks came fairly quickly, but soon the service went downhill fast. A few appetizers of oysters and olives came relatively fast, after which there was almost an hour wait for several tapas which were ordered. When the tapas arrived-at different times?? some were cold whilst others such as the chorizo were too overdone. A 12.5% gratuity is added??? Would steer clear of this place in the future.
