Description: Bank Westminster in Victoria is sister restaurant to Bank Birmingham. The large airy space with its huge windows is busy and buzzy at lunchtime with expense accounters which makes it feel like a fun place to be. There’s also a quiet Victorian courtyard with a fountain for al fresco dining when the weather permits.

Although a table of five, the service was very slow, especially as the restaurant was not full for our late lunch reservation. It is a shame because the food was very good - duck spring rolls a particular favourite and all enjoyed the main courses. A little pricey but once again return to the theme of poorly attentive service. If you've got time give it it a go.

A group of us ate here whilst staying at the Rubens (as their restaurant was full). We arrived without reservation, we had a drink at the bar and then sat for dinner. The device was overall good (however they did forget a colleagues side order). The food was of a good quality and considering the locastion , good value. Will definetley consider returning.

We chose to eat here whilst staying at the adjoining St James Court Hotel. Attractive décor and interesting design/location overlooking attractive courtyard. The service was attentive and the menu offered a good selection. The food was good but not quite outstanding, a little expensive but this was expected from the location. Taking into account the convenience factor with our stay at the hotel we were satisfied with the overall experience and for us it provided a good choice.

The bar is in a good location, central to Westminster but just off the beaten track enough not to be hideously busy. There is a good selection of reasonably priced cocktails and the waiting staff are friendly and helpful. I went here last night with some friends after work and our waiter was lovely - not too pushy giving us time to make our choices realising three women were going to take their time choosing their drinks whilst catching up on the gossip! However this approach didn't seem to go down too well with his boss who kept walking past us, glaring at us -probably for not drinking fast enough - then gesturing to our waiter that he should come over to us. Our waiter was attentive enough without this - had this happened once I would have said I had imagined it but after 4 or 5 times it began to feel intrusive. Apart from that the cocktails are good but annoyingly the bar nibbles seem to be on ration. On the three occasions we have been here we have noticed this. When we have asked there is always some mysterious problem in the kitchen....common guys just open a bag of crisps!
This is a handy place if you are in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip.

We visited for a business lunch and the setting, quality of the food and service were good. Quite expensive but that is as expected. I had the mushroom risotto and my friends had the special fish of the day, sole. Admittedly we arrived late and the restaurant was virtually empty but service was friendly and attentive.
