Description: La Trompette opened in 2001 and serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital’s top end establishments. We closed at the beginning of 2013 for a complete refurbishment, and have expanded to include a brand new kitchen, private dining and improved customer facilities. The new appearance has not changed the focus of the restaurant. The aim is as it always has been, to give all our guests the best possible dining experience from start to finish.

We come down to London only once a year but, now, always have a trip out to Chiswick to come here.

As on our previous visits the service is superb, the food first class and the wine excellent. It's the lovely varied flavours that make it extra special.

Visited last Monday evening as a birthday treat and ate outside . Great location ideal for watching the world go by and just off the Chiswick High Road in a quieter street. , On Mondays you can take your own wine and the restaurant charges only for corkage. Needn't have been worried about it being quiet-this French restaurant was packed inside and out which says a lot about the food, service and ambience. Service was attentive and food was fresh and light with lovely flavours. We had an amuse-bouche and beautiful bread to start- I'm assuming home baked. Then quail and mackerel for entrée, John Dory and baked cod for main and cherry and chocolate puddings for desert. Absolutely delicious food superbly cooked and presented . Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion = we had their 3-course set menu (£49) but there was also a taster menu at £70 which looked very appetising. Cant think why we would want to go into Central London when we have this gem on our doorstep .

I have just returned from my Birthday treat lunch at this superb restaurant in Chiswick West London.

It was way better than any meal I have had over the past year actually first class all the way.
We chose from the three course lunch menu £29.50 fantastic tasty raw sea bream starter with very complex and unami flavours followed by a slow cooked beef rib beautifully presented and such good eating , a great cheese board in prime condition carefully presented by its knowledgeable and enthusiastic waiter.
The chef really knows his job cooks like a dream !!
The sommelier was equally enthusiastic and most helpful as were all the staff outstanding old style level of service.
You cannot fault this establishment they tick all the boxes.
This is on my top five restaurant list in London I wish I lived nearer I would eat there every day and empty the wallet.
You must book a table soon and enjoy the job being done right.
It really doesn't get any better !
