We had a very disappointing meal here last Friday . I ordered a goats cheese salad that came without the cheese . I asked where it was and was given a small plate of dried out goat cheese crumbs!
We also ordered a cheeseburger - plain and no x- factor garnish or extras

To cheer ourselves up we ordered a pudding - don’t order the pannacotta - it had the consistency of a tap washer - we fedback on all of this but didn’t seem to be taken onboard by staff who didn’t seem to bother . Won’t be returning as costly as well

Detailed explanation of plates with strong patience, real recommendations. We really enjoyed our dishes. Together came an exciting wine menu that combines with the dishes

I recently had dinner there with my husband and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I am allergic to gluten, and the restaurant easily accommodated me with a few minor changes to the dishes. I especially liked the root vegetable dumplings , which were gluten free and made with potato flour, but very very indulging.

Eight of us were booked in for Sunday lunch so th the choices were varied. A few went for the traditional Sunday roast, Aberdeen Angus beef, but the presentation was much nicer. Two of us had smoked haddock fish cakes, but again not your standard meal. Chunks of smoked haddock lying on two halves of fishcake , with buttered greens, ribbons of carrots with a mustard sauce. Gorgeous. The desserts were to die for - I had custard brûlée on a homemade shortbread biscuit with rhubarb - exquisite. Not one plate went back with anything on it and the portions weren’t paltry. Service was excellent also
