Was recommended to come here by a friend and I definitely wasn't let down.
I was given a table overlooking the Barbican lake which was beautiful even at night.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great, the chef is clearly very experienced, not only that the food came in great time never leaving too long between our courses.
Will definitely go back!

The cosy atmosphere will keeps you here long after the meal and wine are finished. Nice to sit by the Barbican lakes and wish you didn't have to go back to work! Food is always great and very reasonable for the city. Overall a very good find

Tucked behind the Barbican on a residential road, not the most obvious place for a City restaurant. Small and quite dark inside with very friendly helpful staff. The menu is small but seasonal and well thought out. Also, all intolerances are clearly labelled on all dishes which was very refreshing. The food was served quickly and was superb.

Situated at the Barbican end of Wood Street, one is unlikely to just walk past, but it has a super location with lovely views over the Barbican lakes. The owners really care about the quality of food and I found the combination of flavours very pleasing, about £20- for two courses is very god value. There is a sound wine list, but in addition there are two well kept real ales, which for me is a big bonus. There are also some tables outside which do not suffer from the fumes of passing traffic. I think ths place is excellent.

We had an evening meal here after a visit to the Bond exibition in the Barbican, which is nearby.

Food was freshly prepared, very good quality and the menu included a good variety of dishes.

It wasn't too expensive, wine available by glass, carafe or bottle!

Staff were helpful and friendly- what more could you ask for.
