Some of the newer London restaurants could learn a thing or two from Wiltons, both in terms of the level of service and efficiency and also in terms of food quality and the menu choice. The smoked eel to start was excellent as was the avocado and crab. For the main meal we had kidneys and bacon with jersey potatoes and grilled plaice with cauliflower cheese and all were first class. The relaxed and sedate atmosphere suited our occasion but if you want a buzzy fun atmosphere this is not the place to go - try Langans or The Wolseley instead.
