“Such a shame!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I have been going here for about 25 years!
Since the new owners it is terrible. The food has lost its mmmm factor! and makes you so thirsty!
The staff have lost the plot takes ages to get a table when there is lots free, another long time to take order, and then even longer to get your food.

The prices are also slightly increased! - stick to the dishes towards the back of the menu pages!

They have ruined a top institution! bring back the old owners!!!

“UP UP ,,,DOWN DOWN , the waiters are great so is the Food”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

If you want to eat the fastest , freshest Chinese food in London for a FIVER come here . You know a Restaurant is great when it is frequented by its country's Nationals. This place is old Soho,no airs or graces , shared dirty tables , over four stories , it hasn't been decorated in 30 years , but that's it charm, pure theater....

“Same ol Wong Kei, just a change of management”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

As a Wong Kei fan who is well aware of the bad serves, Must say the level of served recieved the last time I patronised Wong Kei is shmabolic. The new management has failed to understand the customer can, and should be allowed to order whatever they want.

“Hilariously Bad”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Went here with a group of friends. We shared several dishes and it wasn't too expensive. Of course the staff are rude, that's part of the charm of Wong Kei. I would go back, if I didn't have a lot of money, was with friends with low standards, and was in Chinatown. I haven't been since the new owners have been in though. Not really one for the family.

“Terrible experience”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

The staff were extremely rude. On several occasions both waiters serving our tables rolled their eyes after each request and threw our orders and cutlery in the middle of the table. Lack of simple manners and very aggressive whilst taking orders/ serving food/ collecting plates. The younger staff have most certainly reinforced the reputation Wong Kei has for terrible service.

I understand that we were served an hour before closing time, but the food was made poorly and served only after 30 mins of waiting. The table next to us also expressed their disappointment in the service, with some orders not arriving after a lengthy wait. My first, (and most definitely last) experience of Wong Kei is the most horrendous display of a traditional Chinese restaurant. Poor quality food, with terrible service.
