I got to the V&A soon after it opened on Easter Saturday, after a hectic walk across London. The Garden Cafe was an oasis of peace and calm - the "breakfast" special of ham and cheese croissant plus coffee for £5 was very tasty and a good "pick-me-up" before a visit to the William Kent exhibition (highly recommended). It felt like the height of luxury to sit looking at the beautiful architecture in the V&A "garden" whilst having a good, strong coffee - how about a few sculptures to enhance the setting?
