I managed to squeeze in another visit to The Petrichor this weekend and as usual the service was fantastic. The menu had change a little so I tried the goats cheese ravioli then the fillet of beef and they were both delicious! Plenty of Chablis to wash it all down with and a great evening was had by all.

I went there today with my brother and sister pre-theatre at lunch. With some trepidation at the menu I chose the salmon followed by the strawberries and have to say the food was just amazing presentation wise. However the different tastes that you experience when eating was just luscious and very unusual. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Thank you to Aaron and Carlos for the attentive service.

Was taken there for a birthday treat by my sisters pre-theartre meal. Welcomed with a big smile from Carlos. The food was excellent and great value. We were served by a young man called Aaron who was new to his job, but he delivered excellent serves and was exstreamly attetitive. Great to see someone young enthustic about his job. Thank you Aaron for making our dinner special.

The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Cavendish Hotel. We were a party of three and were seated by the window. Not a great view of Fortnum and Masons as the building was covered in tarpaulins and scaffolding. The Food at the Petrichor is very unusual and delicious. Check out the pre-threatre menu. It is a good price and a good selection of food. The decor is the not the best but the service is excellent. Really enjoyed the meal.

Dear Katie L,

Thank you for reviewing Petrichor on tripadvisor.
It is really good to hear that you enjoyed the food and had a good time.
Unfortunately the building works at Fortnum and Mason are out of our control but once completed should make the view a lot nicer.

This is difficult as three of us had dinner, just appetisers and a main course. The food was very good and well priced. The staff were, individually, great. However it was so disorganised, we had to wait for everything. They served the wine then placed it at another table almost on the other side of the room. We had to ask for more wine. Either serve it properly or leave the wine at the table.
My main problem is with the ambience of the restaurant which did not suit me at all. I thought the decor was depressing and we had a table in a corner of the room with a view of a closed serving area. This aspect ruined the meal for me and I will not be returning for this reason. However this is very subjective and if I were to judge the restaurant just on the quality of the food I would recommend it.

Dear Patriciabarton,

Thank you for posting your review on tripadvisor about your experience at Petrichor earlier this month. Am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the food with us and must apologise if you felt that the service levels were not up to scratch. We are looking at refurbishing the restaurant at some point next year as we want to improve the ambience and give the restaurant a more modern feel.
Hope you are willing to try us again then
