Went to Claude's for a birthday on a Saturday night. We started off by having some champagne downstairs in Amuse Bouche. There was such a nice vibe about the place. Not pretentious at all! All the staff were so nice. Always smiling. The restaurant itself was so gorgeous. Candles in jars everywhere- even on the stairs! It was so atmospheric. When we sat down we got given warm bread with two types of butter. The one with rosemary was gorgeous. They also gave carafes of water without having to ask. The menu was simple with about four choices for each course. All the options sounded amazing and it was hard to choose. I had the pigeon to start. The flavours worked so well together. Others on my table had the scallops and the asparagus dishes. Everyone finished their plates clean! The main courses were good portions and so delicious, esp the lamb! But I have to say that the chocolate lolly desert was my favourite. I didn't want it to end!! Presentation was faultless throughout and we had such a good time. Thank you to George and his team for the most amazing meal we've had in London. Five stars all the way!!
