Went for a birthday breakfast having read good reviews. We had booked and were shown to our table. The room is beautiful and has the old English feel to it. We ordered the granola and full English breakfasts. The granola was nice, but the yoghurt was much too thick and it was like eating double cream with the granola. The breakfasts arrived and were okay, but nothing special. The black pudding was pasty and all in all lacked flavour. I ordered poached eggs with my breakfast and the cardinal sin was that they were overcooked and had a hard yoke, not what I expect when given such good reviews. My husband said I should have sent it back given you are paying £60 for breakfast. All in all a lovely place, but a disappointing experience.

We ate lunch on a Monday at the Wolseley. We booked the previous Friday via their website, which was painless and worked well. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated immediately. It was very busy. It is loud in there, as others say here, but all good fun. Some of the waiters seemed very standoffish, but others were very warm and friendly, and we certainly didn't find any problem with the service. They were perfectly OK with needing a gluten-free meal.

We paid £145 for a big, slow lunch for two people including lots to drink (the Martini was excellent!) and three big courses each with coffee and service charge. Yes, it's a lot of money for lunch, but the food was very good (not exceptional, but certainly very good) and it is in a beautiful setting with a vibrant buzz on one of the most expensive streets in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Anyway, the Wolseley is not just about the food; people go to spot celebrities, and we spotted two. It's a great place to watch the world go by, imagining the deal being struck for the latest TV series or the share in the new club or the sequel to the book... Everyone looks very Successful and Important at the Wolseley. We had a great time!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here, so busy but excellent service. Hot food could have been warmer, but the chicken and tarragon salad was excellent. The perfect place for a celebration!

Having. I sited the Delaunay previously thought we would try here as part of same group/owner. Very disappointing. Late lunch mid week, seated in bar area, noisy, food lukewarm when served and poorly presented. Such a disappointment. Bill also incorrect which required amendment before paying. Would not recommend, especially given location, expected this to be far better quality.
