Only 300 yards from London Bridge, so great location. Airy, fun atmosphere in the Pub. They have a small cinema downstairs with a Sunday evening viewing. Food was excellent - we had the Pork Cheeks and the Chicken/Bacon sandwich. Some interesting new takes on standard dishes, and some not so standard dishes. Great staff - our server was Barbara, who was perfect.
Quite busy, so must reserve in advance for evening dinner.

Been here about 4 years ago and was impressed by the atmosphere, well-lit and countryside cottage design, and food. Last time I went food and service was appalling. Me my brother and his girlfriend got eggs benedict, with blackened on the edges salmon and drowned on yellow sauce. We asked if the orange juice was 'freshly squeezed' as it says on the menu but the waiter himself said 'no, i don't know why they wwrote it on there' which just shows the attitude of the place and customer care. So They even lie on their menu. Water came that had bits of dust in it. Probably at the lower end of gastropubs, if you want good service, honest food and prices don't go there.

Sunday lunch for a friends birthday. I'd heard good things about this restaurant but walked away feeling very dissatisfied - without doubt the worst sunday roast i have had in London not to mention the most expensive. The sirloin beef was poor quality - fatty and chewy. The roast potatoes were not just undercooked but raw and had to be sent back. On the plus side, service was decent and the chocolate brownie for dessert was nice but it wasn't enough to save the afternoon.

This is an Extremely Loud, Cramped Restaurant!!!
There are far too many tables in the space - as soon as you step inside of the doorway you are bumping into tables and then you have to literally squeeze yourself around tables in order move about in this restaurant.

The food choices apppeared strange to me.

My rib-eye steak was tough, fatty and had no taste - I needed to add salt to make it taste like something!

The waitress took far too long time to take our order then shortly after finishing dessert we were rushed out of the restaurant - the waitress came over and said that we should have been told when we booked our reservation that there is a party coming in after us so they needed the table*. I thought that this was rather tacky and sealed my poor opinion of this restaurant.
* I could have been how the waitress said this too which made it worst.

This wasn't our first visit to the Garrison. it was a Saturday night and busy without being mad. The food was good but not great. The service was of a very good standard. The price, s were on the high side but perhaps the biggest disappointment was the speed of service. Normally such a complaint would involve a tirade about the length of time every thing took. This situation was the opposite. It would have been brilliant for a business lunch but an hour for completion of a two course dinner for four people at these prices was just too fast. Felt more like a get them in and get them out approach rather than relaxed dining.
