Description: Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.

My boyfriend and I ate here using an Amazon local voucher (chateaubriand and unlimited fries £39).
This was the first time I had tried chateaubriand and was not left disappointed. It was also 'unlimited' fries and they were light and tasty.
The restaurant was really busy but staff were very attentive and had good banter with us.
Will definitely eat here again.

We had a travel zoo deal for chateaubriand for two with unlimited fries which cost £39.00
Restaurant very nice and staff friendly. The chateaubriand is a steak cooked with a garlic butter, originally this would have cost £68.00 and £8.00 for the fries for the two of us. We had one steak cooked which was cut and we both has three slices each. Meal nice enough but disappointing as we felt the steak was for one person. The sauce was nice and so were the fries. If we had paid the orginal price even for London prices we would have thought that we had been done. Good wine selection but expensive. Would not go back.

My trip may have suffered from being over hyped. A favourite haunt for my boyfriend and his pals who have been a number of times, we met up for a much vaunted group night out with friends and partners for a post Christmas get together.

The steak was good, prompt in arriving and accompanied by a good choice of the usual sauces you'd expect. A complimentary top up round of frites is a nice touch, albeit it probably not necessary with a plate of solid protein as the main event.

This place offers good, nice, reliably safe food choices served in a clean bright setting, but I wasn't blown away. It wasn't so memorably good that you mull over it afterwards and rave about it to friends.

It's steak and chips , served in a nice setting. If you want exciting and different steak, go to Gauchos; and steer clear of the dessert menu, stodgy, lacking in flavour and definitely not up to the delicious sounding descriptions on the menu.

The dinner here on 5th March was the night before our Golden Wedding. This is my wife's favourite restaurant in the West End, and famous for its entrecote steaks.Service and food and wine were excellent.

I have known this restaurant for years - many years. The steaks and frites have always been excellent - they still are. The décor is stunning with the old shop tiles = looks amazing. BUT it is beginning to look a bit tired and not so well cleaned. The staff is good - but they seem to get a bit bored with you as the meal progresses and getting the bill can be a bit of a challenge; which can be a problem if you have a theatre to get to. Still good but I think it needs a 'spruce up'.
