Description: Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.

Not a complicated meal, steak, unlimited chips (French fries) and a bottle of Berry's red but it could not be faulted. The steak was as good as I have had in the UK, the wine great for the price and the chips almost impossible to stop eating. Not cheap or somewhere to go all the time but if you have not been its definitely worth a visit

we visited rowleys looking for some thing special and different, something of the old london quality and not modern pastiche eating houses, and boy we found it. classic service, great food and atmosphere..resembles langans (but smaller) in the early days. the food was simple and delicious. the steaks are unparalleled anywhere and the hot plates on the table kept the steaks warm to enable slower eating.. to the owner.."don't spoil it , keep it as it is and you will pack em in"

Was invited here for a business meeting and had a very good meal. Excellent prawn and crayfish cocktail, entrecôte was melt -in the mouth and full of flavour, fries and mushy peas great accompaniments and in abundance.

Service was friendly.

One star off for the prices but I guess this is the centre of London.

Worth a go if your wallet is up to it!

This was a travelzoo offer for Chateaubriand and house wines. Excellent value. The steaks were fabulous and perfectly cooked with proper french fries. An old business acquaintance happened to be in there and transpired it was a regular joint for him, one of his favourites, and as someone who has had more business lunches than most people, quite an accolade! The house wines were extremely good, especially the red.
