Description: Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.

Really lovely place to eat. The service was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. We had a voucher so it didn't work out too expensive, without it might have been a bit out of our reach. We had Chateaubriand for 2 also a bottle of wine, lovely. Leave the steak on the heated pan if you want your steak not so rare. The food was well presented and cooked just right. You could choose other main meals if you didn't want steak, but as this is their speciality l would say go for the steaks.

Lovely chateaubriand with a carafe of Claret and a great chocolate dessert (chocolate bomb). Very professional service, attentive, friendly but without being intrusive. Will be back. Victorian room, nicely decorated with original tiled walls.

I wouldn't have gone to Rowley's without a voucher which was Chateaubriand for 2 and unlimited fries. The meat was well cooked perhaps could've been a tad less done whereas the fries were quite salty the second time round. There wasn't many diners at that point in time and was quite echoey because of the flooring thus it could've been a rather tensed atmosphere. However, the girl with the glasses who served us made us feel very welcomed and relaxed after a while. Overall, I wouldn't have the budget to dine there on a regular basis as it isn't necessarily value for money however it was a pleasant experience.

Haven't been here for years but it is still a great place. Location is perfect if you have clients in the West End and menu/wine list is very decent. Service was good and food was very tasty. Pricing is reasonable too.

We wanted somewhere with tradition to celebrate the graduation of one of our son's from a London Uni so booked Rowley's for location to our homeward journey & the Festival Hall earlier this month.
We had seen the reviews and some were poor - mainly about service. So I contacted the restaurant to clarify if these had been resolved and were assured they were. After our visit I can see how these may have arisen as one of the staff who served us didn't know the nature of the dish we had chosen BUT had the good sense to check with the manager; and all was resolved. Perhaps this hadn't occurred with others hence the poor reviews.
All we can say is that the staff were excellent and added a "little something extra" to make our memories of the day even more special.
Our thanks to the staff who made a real difference to our day.
