Description: Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.

Visit Rowley’s this week for dinner as per recommendation and have to say that it was a great choice!
Special thanks to Monica (the manager) who made us feel very welcome and could not be more attentive.
Food was great as well as the red wine served.
Will definitely return for more.

In town to catch a nearby play and this popped up on my OpenTable so gave it a shot. Wasn't sure what to expect but I must say the food was good. The unlimited fries is certainly a good feature with a few of the plates. The aged ribeye was mediocre at best and not worth the price.

Great service and the chicken dish my wife got was not bad. Seemed like a very popular spot and perhaps it was an off night on the steaks. I would probably go back and try something else if and where there is a next time.

it is at least 10 years since i have eaten at Rowleys as at one point it became very ordinary. A friend booked it for a business meet and i turned up with low expectations and to my surprise can away very happy, albeit it is no longer a place for a cheap eat
A nice relaxed ambience with good service, an interesting menu and good wine list made for a very enjoyable evening.
It is not cheap but it is good

Our friend who had been here before joined us for lunch. It served more as our dinner as we ate well. The Entrecôte was excellent as was the Fish and chips. The sea bream fish of the day also was highly rated. Not cheap eats but worth the price. It’s also in a great location for shopping.

I have walked past Rowley’s a number of times and not really noticed it. This time we went in.
I had the rump steak, which was very tender and chips (unlimited). The steak is served in strips and is put on a gas plate, so it you don’t want your medium rare steak to become well done, rescue it!
The steak was very tender and tasty.
Very nice meal, with a nice bottle of Malbec.
