We had a 3 course dinner and champagne courtesy of Amazon .com and we were not disappointed...Six of us including 'Lovely Lisa' enjoyed a really lovely meal.Fish cakes were tasty and the lamb was cooked to perfection-creamy mash exquisite...
The deserts were delicious
a great selection thumbs up for the passion fruit & lime cheesecake and the bitter chocolate mouse tart with honeycomb ice-cream tickled the taste buds of a few...
We would like to express our thanks to Daniel our waiter, he was attentive welcoming and had exceptional customer service...
All in all a wonderful evening we will return again sooner rather than later...

We had an amazon local deal for the Walford, for a 3 course meal and glass of champagne which was great value!
The choice we had was plenty and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially the lamb main course. My only grumble would be that there were some pieces of bone left in the pancetta wrapped around my asparagus starter.
We paid extra for some vegetables and wine but the total bill was excellent value.
The waiting stuff were charming and attentive. However, I did find the maitre d's attitude slightly changed once she realised we were dining on a voucher - she was lovely to the people in front of us but she didn't even offer to take our coats, we had to ask her too. Felt she was a little stuck up but it didn't ruin our experience.

The restaurant is beautiful. It was a little quiet when we were there as we dined fairly early (half 7).

Would love to come again and eat off the a la carte menu for a special treat!

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

Were very disappointed with our meal, had a very long wait, were told it was a problem in the kitchen, when it did arrive it was only just luke warm and not of a very high standard, I had a jacket potato with my chicken meal that seemed as if it had been cooked 24hrs earlier and reheated (but not hot as the crème fraiche hadn't melted). This was a special Birthday meal and quite frankly we were very disappointed. The cost of the food was certainly not justified by the quality!

The staff are always smiling, they cannot do enough for you. The food was first class, I had lamb cutlets, with asparagus and mange tout, the jacket potato was nothing special however and I did not eat it, the skin could have been much crispier. The lamb was perfect. The steak which my friends ate was also cooked to perfection and everyone had a great evening. The starters of scallops and mushroom soup were also delicious. The restaurant itself is an ornate room with pillars and chandeliers - lovely! Well worth a visit if staying at The Waldorf.
