We were staying at the Waldorf, and invited friends who were visiting from Canada to join us for dinner.
Excellent varied choice of food, superbly cooked and impeccable service. The surroundings are great, and I'm sure that our friends will make the Waldorf their base on their next trip to London.
I also have to mention breakfast in Homage. Very good indeed...and even better on the Monday morning when the weekend visitors had gone!!!

Our experience at Homage was a highly positive one. First off, thank you Daniel our "Aussie" waiter, who made our night even better without being over the top or intrusive. Even noticed we had first time visitors from New Zealand and he brought us a lovely chocolate cake with a "Welcome to London" plate written in chocolate with our desserts. Little things like that made our night. A true professional, Thank you Daniel!

The restaurant itself could be a bit more lively. The decor could be improved as it was rather bland and seating needs to be a bit more spread out (was a bit cramped).

The food was solid, just a bit on the pricey side. Scallops were very tasty, while the Wild boar was nice but slightly overdone. The others had the rib eye & halibut which were all cooked very nicely. Not a huge wine list available but should keep most people satisfied.

Overall a solid 8/10. Top notch service, solid food and drinks. Just brought down slightly for being a tad pricey and by tired looking decor which effected the rooms ambience & feel.

See tickets had an offer when purchasing top seats to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory of dinner included at Homage. Well the restaurant did not disappoint, even if we ended up paying £17.00 more on the night for the drinks and coffees which were extra.
The food was very good and served efficiently by attentive staffs even though we were on a deal. The portions were small but on an included pre-theatre, we did not expect big portions...
Good night out

Yes that was the advise we were offered by the third in command after waiting over an hour for our main course from when our starter was cleared! We were also advised to "check the numbers of covers already booked so that we pick a "quiet night". I must point out that the other waiting staff (Daniel especially) could not have been more apologetic and managerial staff became quite attentive when we became a "little" assertive on the 55 minute wait time (food finally arrived over the hour). Needless to say the Waldorf did respond to their appalling lack of staff in the kitchen on a Saturday night with free alcohol and coffees but it nevertheless spoilt a lovely evening out with my husband, tainted the enjoyment of superb food when it did arrive and as I had already had had two champagne cocktails in the bar beforehand I was unable to partake of their generosity anyway as I was driving from the station home. I'm afraid it's the Savoy and Mayfair for us every time in future, special deal or not.

My partner and I have had lots of very good meals on deals with toptable and book a table but this one was, by far, the most disappointing. No one on reception when we got there. We were shown to a nice table, had the menu explained to us then were left. No wine list was offered. The American woman and her party, dining from the a la carte menu had a completely different experience to us. If she'd have sneezed, the staff would have been there with a tissue. My partner asked for medium rare steak, but it was overdone and he had trouble cutting it. That was after we asked for the dirty steak knife to be replaced. Cheese board was very disappointing with a small plate of four inch square slices of cheddar, a small portion of brie and a small portion of something we couldn't quite work out what it was and four of the same biscuit. Asked for a glass of port, but that arrived as he was finishing his plate of cheese and biscuits. And, to top it all I had to get my own coat when we left. My partner and I both work for very large, multinational banks and are quite happy recommending places where we've eaten and been treated well. We won't be recommending Homage, but perhaps they're only interested in those paying the full price anyway.
