Located in No.1 Aldwych a superb Hotel the Indigo restaurant situated at Mezzanine Level overlooking the Lobby Bar is a wonderful place to eat before a Theatre outing. Beautifully set tables, attentive helpful waiters and an excellent pre and post theatre menu are perfect start or end to a good show. The menu changes frequently and is innovative and offers broad choice. It is also most reasonably priced for a top class Hotel.. It is my No. 1 Choice every time.

Prior to your meal spend some time in the unique Lobby Bar and try one of their award winning cocktails. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, the comfortable seating, admire the striking floral displays.and people watching is a must all London social life is here.. If you are lonely the management have provided one table with a wonderful statue of a seated attentive man who will keep you company, looks at you ,listens attentively and never says a word but aggrees with everything you say. The ideal companion!
Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

We have dined at Indigo many, many times. Staff remain excellent. In particular, one night we dined there we took a friend who is a very, very "difficult" client. We have once seen a chef close to tears dealing with him!!! However, Indigo took him completely in their stride. He ordered something not on the menu as a main course and chef made an excellent job of producing it and went way above and beyond the call of duty. We love the fact that almost all the Indigo staff have uniformly genuine personalities.

We dined here after a nearby theatre matinee. It is smart, elegant, bright and pleasantly laid out. It was a treat to find such a place on the TripAdvisor site before we went. We just had the pre-theatre menu as a post-theatre meal served from 5.30p.m.The staff were very smartly dressed in lilac and grey and very attentive without intruding. Although the budget menu (£25 per head + drinks and service) was limited it easily met our needs - we had a soup and a melon & ham starter, fish mains, panacotta with cherries desserts. Drinks by the glass were London hotel price expensive, but not outrageous, and the bar down below the balcony restaurant was pretty full of guests. It was so pleasant that we've reserved again for our next theatre visit in a couple of weeks when we'll try the a la carte.

We had a delicious bargain price PreTheatre in Indigo. Scrumptious summer food.....chilled cucumber soup and a marinaded salmon with summer fruits were refreshing and moreish. The sea bream was the best summer fish dish of the year.....perfectly cooked fish on a superb potato and spring onion mash, and a roast chicken with heritage carrots for mains. Good wine list....try the Picpoul....yum! The pannacotta with cherries was creamy and luscious. The view into the beautiful lobby bar is great too! Very good food, very good value!

I love the idea that an upmarket restaurant is prepared to offer diners the option of creating their own salad. I was able to order an absolutely delicious and mountainous vegan lunch, and one of those rare occasions happened in which I had a vegan lunch without feeling like an unwanted guest at a restaurant. Well done and thank you.
