Announcing she is "multi-cultural," our ten year old granddaughter enjoyed a plate of pasta at this charming French bistro on our first night in London. Ironies notwithstanding, we all enjoyed Denise's so much that we returned for our last meal before leaving for home. With burgundy walls, the ambience is warm; food delicious, the menu expansive, wine selections noteworthy & service attentive. On both occasions I enjoyed a mound of salade paysanne w/ slices of ham & tiny boiled potatoes cooked to perfection, while my husband chose one of the more creative daily specials. It was obvious that many of our fellow diners are regulars & on the first night we were there, the hostess invited us to join singing Happy Birthday to a handsome gentleman celebrating his 89th birthday - a lovely touch! (For the record & late night diners' convenience, Denise's is open until 2am.)
