Description: Yauatcha Soho is a Chinese dim sum teahouse in the heart of Soho and part of the Hakkasan group, offering an all day grazing experience. Launched in 2004, Yauatcha gained immediate critical acclaim and received its Michelin star within a year of opening which it continues to maintain. Yauatcha provides a unique dining experience, offering authentic dim sum with a contemporary influence. The renowned menu includes a wide selection of dim sum and a list of over 60 types of tea. The design by Christian Liagre offers full view of the kitchen allowing passers by to witness the preparation of the expertly made dishes. Spread over two floors, the 160 cover restaurant offers a light environment on the ground floor, emulating the vibrant 'chatter shop' atmosphere of a traditional dim sum eatery in Hong Kong. Its subterranean level offers deep booths and low lighting, providing a captivating dining space for evening.

“Fab dim sum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

One of the best dim sums I have ever tasted in London.

Almost on par with Hong Kong's Sheraton hotel/ Ritz Carlton ( obviously lacking in view and grandeur compared to the hotels).

But food was absolutely spot on and service was great. Ended up having a 4 hour lunch dim sum here with friends!!

Highly recommended!!

I came here for my birthday, the food and service was good. My favourite part was dessert, there's so many cakes to choose.

“Amazing food but a little rushed.”

Some of the best dumplings in town! The only let down was the quick turn around on tables which meant that we had to be finished within 2 hours.

“Wow!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

Four of us had the dim sum lunch and were very impressed. The best dishes were spicy soft shelled crab with almonds and the chilli squid dish. Also liked the congee (Chinese porridge) even though I am not usually keen on it. We had the sparkling water and some pots of tea to drink (no alcohol). Everything was delicious. The ambience was good with a huge fish tank to look at (we asked to be near it when booking). The service was very attentive and friendly. The bill was less than expected at about £20-£25 a head including service. We could not manage dessert but bought some lovely macaroons from the shop upstairs to take home. We will definitely go again.
