Great for a pit stop take away or a sit and chat with friends. There is a particularly interesting selection of cold drinks, the bottles of iced tea are delicious, not cheap but great for a treat. They even keep my vegan friends happy with cakes and snacks they can enjoy. Phillip Scofield circa the early to mid 90's seems to be a real icon for these guys judging by the number of posters and the pic of the Bee Gees with a cross appearing every time we lose one is black humour indeed. The ultimate Costa antidote ( and boy do we need that)

The maddest decor, free wi-fi, super friendly staff, awesome coffee and the comfiest seats I've ever found in a coffee shop, definitely one to go back to.

Love this place. The decor, the music, the coffee (best in the area), the sofas, and the little outside seating area to watch the eclectic crowd of bermondsey walk past.
Great sandwiches and soups as well.
Staff is friendly and quick enough.
Only little negative thing (for some of my friends, not so much for me as i am happy with this) is that all beverages and food come in cardboard/take away containers. Not for the snobs that like their coffee or tea in china cups then. The other thing is that if you spend a couple of hours here drinking coffee, chatting to your friends or working on your laptop, the place is soooo relaxing that its hard to get on with your daily life, you leave the cafe feeling like you are walking on a cloud and the reality of london life and the frenzy hits you hard.
Keep up the hard work guys!
(Dog and bike friendly as well, extra points for that!)

Thank Nicolas C

Surrounded by pictures of socialist heros like Skargill, Stalin and Phillip Schofield. A notice board full of pieces of paper saying 'collective' and 80's tat galore. The coffee to be fair wasn't the best I've had and the butternut squash soup should have mentioned 'spicy', but I really did like it.

I like the soups and brownies at this funky cafe but am not into the hipster scene enough to eat in there. I do like the decor but feel a bit out of place.
