My husband and I were staying at the Elizabeth Hotel around the corner and stumbled upon Pere Michel while out for a walk. Not really expecting to get a table, we called in mid week to find the restaurant only half full. We shared oysters (wonderful) then I had Dover sole and my other half had steak. We thought both dishes were excellent. We shared the creme brulee. The service was very good. The restaurant is quite small and cosy. The only downside was that beside being charged VAT and service charge, we also paid a 'surcharge'. Not sure what this was for as it was mid week and not a public holiday. Perhaps many London restaurants do this, but all in all it was a lovely evening.
