“Left somewhat disappointed.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant and left disappointed with the food and decor. It seems we missed the piano playing - that may have helped. Our table was inside at the back and perhaps that contributed to the lack of atmosphere. Although we are avid football fans, the television broadcasting a game did not enhance the meal. We could only shake our heads at the whole experience!

“Very bland and grossly overpriced.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

We had had a long day after travelling from Venice and were looking for a decent restaurant close to our hotel.

This place was recommended by the hotel staff at the Imperial hotel, and it had the look of a 'traditional' Italian restaurant.

The staff were pleasnt enough and quite helpful, but the food was at best average. We had 2 pasta dishes which could easily have come out of a tin.

The have live piano music which I found quite annoying, but I understand that some people are attracted by such gimmicks.

Given the poor quality of the food, I'd say this place is grossly overpriced. They also add a 10% service charge to the bill without telling you. There were a few people in the restaurant querying their bill, so you may want to check yours if you're foolish enough to eat here! There's a Pizza Express a few doors up. Go there instead.

“Excellent home made fresh food - excellent dessert trolley!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

This Italian restaurant on Southampton Row is a few doors down from the Doubletree by Hilton and the food is excellent. It is all freshly cooked and very tasty. The atmosphere is good too - there was a man playing the piano the night I was there but they also had football on the TV at the back if you want to watch sport whilst eating your dinner.
The food represents good value for money and all of the waiting staff are excellent and very attentive and go out of their way to help you.
I would definitely recommend and will be back.

“Great food, service & piano too!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

Had Veal Milanese-tender as could be. The piano provided a great ambiance for our party of 5 who had only just met on our tour. I also ordered the Tiramiso from their Dessert card which had an unbelievable array of scrumptious desserts. It was heavenly!! This was a tiny oasis we never expected to find.
