Very friendly staff and great food. Our family of 6 ate here and we ordered a lot of different starter dishes (mezze) and we liked them all as well as a few of the main dishes. I must say the food was as good if not better than most Lebanese restaurants in Kuwait (where I'm from).

Visited Meejana with a couple of friends who were at a Book fair near West Brompton Station. Eateries around the station are a bit lacking especially with the ongoing building works. Meejana looked okay on TripAdvisor and so we gave it a go. It’s about a ten minute walk from the station (if that’s relevant to you) on the same road past West Brompton cemetery. Quite smart inside and quite a bit more formal than some Lebanese kebabaries or similar that you might have encountered previously. Fair selection on the menu and we had their set “Chefs choice” and a mixed grill. My friends were very pleased with the former, a variety of flavours with the chicken livers being a particular hit and fairly generous amounts for two. The mixed grill was pretty good although unsurprisingly possibly not as tasty as some of the offerings on the chefs choice as basically it’s just grilled meat. Good if somewhat pricey wine list. Service efficient and friendly (service charge is added to your bill). Meejana’s was a pleasant change and likely we would return.

We just finished a three week stay in London. We rented a flat and ate out some and ate in some. We ate at Meejana four times in the three weeks. We had a meal with a couple of Mezze and a couple of mains. We had a meal with just a bunch of Mezzes and salad. We had a couple of meals with three Mezzes and one shared main for the two of us. In our last meal we had four dishes of which three we had not tried before. Every meal was a fantastic taste sensation. There was complexity in the layering of spices. You could order dishes with hot spices or not hot at all. Everything was cooked perfectly. The Meejana potato salad appears on the menu as a simple dish but has a wonderfully simple but fantastically flavored dressing. If you like things on the hot side the minced lamb skewers in a spicy tomato, onion and pepper sauce is a dish for you. The Meejana chicken has some heat but an unbelievable complexity of spices. Our favorite dish has no heat at all. It is the chicken livers marinated in pomegranate juice. Not everyone likes chicken livers but if you like them at all, then you have to try this dish.
In addition to the tastes Meejana is a lovely place to eat a relaxed meal. The service is friendly and unrushed and the price is reasonable.
After three weeks in London, we are ready to return to Boston in the states, but we will sorely miss Meejana.
