The public transport to and from this location in all directions is good. The room is small, bed and shower are good, but bed is ready for an update regarding the noise. Our room was quiet (backside), even with open window at night. Sink in bathrooom too small and bad drained.. De roomservice is good, enough towels if needed. The staff downstairs is formal and not really friendly. When you book by budgetplaces, there is wifi, but they charge you 2 pounds each hour. When you book by the hotel website you get 3 hours every day free. So when you have not that insight, then is a struggle about this with the staff not funny. The first impression of the environment is rather poor, but the people in that part of the city are nice, work hard in their little shops, and they have good manners. We recommend Aussies breakfast nextdoors. In general: it could be better for this budgetprice.

While the room is clean and the bath modern, it is not nearly as nice as they try to make it look on their web site. Internet is close to $19/24 hours. It is not close to anything. We had to go to a shop and by an Oyster card (£5 plus the money to travel -£4.40/day), then take a bus to the Underground, and then 2 different tube lines. Almost an hour later we made it to Victoria Station. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy. They charge to print boarding passes.

Room Tip: Be ready to spend a lot of time traveling to anything of interest.

We booked our hotel in London fairly last minute so were low on choices which fell under our budget (we wanted to stay quite central).

The photos didn't look particulary inviting but we took our chances and were pleasantly surprised! The room was very clean and kitted with a hairdryer, towers, tv, iron board etc. The snacks and drinks sold at reception were very cheap too - not the usual triple price you normally see at hotels! It was nice and quiet and we slept like babies!

There was great bus links and is about a 20min to the Elephant and Castle tube station. There were a lot of supermarkets nearby but no coffee shops / restaurnts so we walked / travelled nearer the centre most days.

One more great thing - the view from our hotel room was amazing! From the third floor we could see Canary Wharf and the Shard. Very impressed!

For the price we paid and the location, I would reccomned this hotel

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the third floor - nice view!

Very modern, spotless and with friendly staff. Room was large, well furnished, cleaned and decorated. Much better than we expected and very convenient for public transport. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back Old Kent Road has traffic 24/7
