We stayed at this wonderful flat for 8 nights, could easily live here! The flat is more than just comfortable, it's cozy and warm with everything you need, in a lovely and well maintained building, we felt completely at home. Central location in Nottinghill, close to Portabello Road markets, shops and restaurants. Just a few minutes walking distance from Westbourne Grove with seemingly endless options for shopping, quick meals, take away or trendy shops and restaurants. Buses stop conveniently just a few steps from the flat and Nottinghill tube stop just 10 minutes away with many shops and restaurants along the way.
London has an amazing bus and tube system, with an Oyster Card and this conveniently located flat, we were easily able to visit many of London's amazing sites: Kensington Palace (an easy and lovely walk from the flat), the British Museum, Big Ben, Tower of London, the Thames (many options for sightseeing cruises), Buckingham Palace, Imperial War Museum, London Eye, Harrods, Oxford Circus, Leicester Square, Camden Market and many more.
We miss London already, would definitely recommend this flat to anyone who wants all the conveniences of home in an unbeatable location in London. Can't wait to return.
I loved staying in this flat. Bright and cozy, beautifully decorated, situated in a nicely updated c1840 building. The neighborhood is fun. Walk to Portobello Road, or around the corner to the shops on Westbourne Grove. There's a friendly deli that makes good home made food just down the street, and grocery and pub at the corner, and much more to discover in the neighborhood. Getting around London is easy with a bus stop nearby and just a short walk to the Notting Hill tube. The landlord is very gracious, and always just a phone call away to answer any questions. Staying here made the trip complete, and I leave with happy memories of my 'home away from home'. I hope to stay here again very soon.
My family, which included two adults and two teen-aged boys, stayed at the Notting Hill flat for 16 nights while we toured London. While the quarters were tight, we managed quite well. The boys shared the pullout couch, which turned easily into a queen-sized futon. The flat's location allowed us to pick up a bus or walk to Notting Hill Gate tube station easily. It also provided easy access to Sainsbury grocery store and the Cock and Bottle pub.
Our owner, Rolf, provided great suggestions for getting around London upon arrival and responded immediately to our lone household problem (lights went out in bathroom).
