“Mediocre at best”
Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

For such a great location and interesting menu, the food was close to terrible. It was very greasy, not well flavored, and came out so fast, it had to be sitting in warming bins. The first cocktail was weak, the second one stronger. I would not go back, very disappointed. The waitstaff was very aloof and didn't really seem interested in us at all.

“Great for impromptu meal”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Time to kill on the South Bank before getting the boat to O2 and needed just a light meal mid afternoon. Excellent chicken club sandwich with an option of sweet potato fries and partner had a really good handmade burger with straight chips. Could really recommend the lemonade and mint drink which comes in a jar with a handle - and lots of ice - very novel. We had a table on the corner outside - in the shade - and good for people watching. Waiter was really attentive. We will definitely return to this restaurant - in the past we might have gone to Wagamamas - and probably eat the same again.

“Great time with the family.”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Been here a few times with our children. The staff are brilliant with the little guys, very child friendly place. Now this is no kiddy meal type place. They put some serious thought into food for little diners.

As for the grown ups? Very much the same. You can sit here and relax with some very decent food and a cocktail or several. This is a place you remember fondly. When the family are down we will always try and eat at Giraffe. It's close to all the fun of the South Bank and the kids just love it.

“food is truly awful but location is good”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

I had a (very) small meze to start and my friend had crispy shrimp. We both had beef enchiladas, which tasted like a badly cooked tesco value ready meal. all microwaved. Salad seemed like it had been left around. Avoid if you don't want to feel I'll afterwards!
