Usually, local Italian restaurants in the UK serve up predicatable pizza and pasta dishes. Some are better than others but Le Querce is the best Italian restaurant I have visited in this country. It's great even when I compare it to restaurants I have visited all over Italy.

The small restaurant is run by a family and looks rather shabby from the outside. But don't be put off. And always book. The menu is amazing but wait til the waiter comes along and rattles off a long list of the day's special dishes and always pick one of those. The food is fresh, home made and very very tasty.

Stumbled across this place recently and pleasantly surprised. much better than most local Italian eateries I have been to. The fish dishes were better than the meat ones we tried but all the food was very yummy well cooked. Agree with other reviewers, order off the specials board, you might have to ask for the list a few times but well worth it.

We have been to le Querce quite a few times now - it is always a pleasure. Staff are friendly and helpful - and as for the food - really fantastic and authentic Sardinian fare. A favourite of mine is the sage ravioli starter - very simple and special- the mozzarella is also very good. Its a real surprise to find such great cooking behind what is a pleasant but unassuming facade. Good wine list too.

Staff are excellent and very accomodating for young children, food amazing - very fresh, my only slight moan is not loads of choice for a vegetarian but it wouldn't stop me from going back

I come to London once a year and I never miss an opportunity to come to Le Querce. right now I'm writing the review directly from the restaurant. welcome always good even with a child. even children are welcome. appetizer with homemade bresaola. excellent. first course these homemade ravioli. rarely as good as I've eaten in Italy. and now pizza. a glass of negroamaro to finish with a flourish. in short, everything delicious, beautifully presented and of excellent quality. Come absolutely.
