“superb food at Munal in Putney”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

I found this fantastic Nepalese restaurant across the road from a friends house in Putney. Within a very comfortable setting, outstanding food, drink and service, at very good prices. You would be best advised to go there hungry as the servings are generous. Recommend if you are a fan of Indian / Nepalese cooking then make a booking and enjoy some exceptional food. Always have at least one mandatory visit when in London.

Amazing fresh nan bread that you will never forget, this restaurant is friendly and excellent whether you like your curry very spicy or a little milder. My chicken tikka was very good as was my brother's meat madras

“Great value and food”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

This is one of the best and very generous Nepalese restaurants. Great food at very good prices. Just to warn you that if you have a starter and the main - you will be stuffed! But there is no problem to get the food take away with you.
Service is a bit rough and forgetful but that is not much of a problem:)

“Excellent in every way!”
Reviewed 17 August 2013

We have a small "Curry Club" with friends and visit many Indian restaurants in West London but this one beats the lot and we always return to it.
The variety of dishes is amazing and we've never had a bad one - the Methi Chicken is to die for!
The portions are always very generous - you might wish to share some dishes - and you can ask for a 'doggy bag' to take home if you can't manage it all. Food is served hot on hot plates, tender pieces of chicken or lamb in delicious sauces - you choose how 'chilli hot' you want it. Ths sauces are so tasty - subtle blend of spices that seem so much better than in other curry houses. Garlic Naan with butter is superb. Beer and wine are reasonably priced - house red is very good.
The staff are very friendly, helpful but not intrusive. The only drawback is that sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than normal for your main course to be served, particularly if there are a lot of take-aways being prepared - but just remind the staff that you're hungry and it will soon appear!

“Still in my mind”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

In fact I visited longer ago, but it's easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in my entire life, and that's an understatement. My visit to London became truly unforgettable thanks to the quality of this small yet incredibly good restaurant.
The food is reasonably priced, you can have a great satisfying meal without spending too much -as is often not the case in London! The service is really nice and I was sorry not to have had a third meal there. There's also a wide variety of dishes for all tastes; those I tried were not too far from the ordinary but the flavours were so subtle and well mixed that just the smell made me feel in heaven.
I thoroughly recommend going to Munal Tandoori. For those in the centre of London it could take a while to get there, but it's so worth it!
