Description: Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Very nice upscale restaurant great for pre or post theater, or afternoon happy hour. This is not a run in and eat and leave, the pace is a leisurely repast to be savored and enjoyed, and the staff cater to this style. They have great seafood, and I could literally dine off the appetizer menu, with a seafood tower being the ultimate. Will definitely be back.

Again this is an old favourite I've visited "on & off" for 10 years or so. I read others have said this has poor service. I disagree. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, its 5* service. And its been that way consistently every haphazard time I've been. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We had a corner banquatte. They were just lovely with my older friend. The fish was fresh and wonderful. We sat and nattered for hours. Very traditional and classy. It just does everything right. Its the PLATINUM standard for London restaurants. Might not have a Michelin star, but IF I'm picking, this is the place to visit. Very relaxed atmosphere. Of course quality comes at a price!!

Late lunch turned sour when another restaurant stopped serving. We made our way to Scott’s and they were delightful.

Champagne and oysters to start followed by the hake, three assorted accompaniments and a dessert wine and sorbet to finish. All excellent.

Good service and not busy (unsurprising given the mid-afternoon timing). Very happy all ‘round.

Recommended.
