Description: We love fresh fish. Since 1998, my family has tried to share that love with all of our guests through our fishmongers, restaurant and street food. Always focused on getting the best fish and keeping things simple. Our restaurant reflects in this; a simple, friendly atmosphere serving some of the best fish available alongside some of Borough Markets finest produce.

The Dover sole on the special menu turned out to be a tiny " slip sole" which is about half the size and volume of a regular 14oz-16oz fish. These are always a cheap buy at fishmongers because they are so small.
Priced at £21.in no way a bargain.
At Scott's the famous fish restaurant in Mayfair they serve you 2 of these with shrimp garnish for £23

Had a wonderful seafood wrap on a Friday a few months back and it was sold off the truck in front of Applebee's that I decided to come back for lunch on a Monday, 30 June around 2.30pm.

We were greeted by signs of the Lunch menu which suited us well since we had appointments thereafter.

We were waved to our seats by the waiter and promptly had our drinks and food menu served. The drinks waiter came quickly to take our orders and when we probed if he can take food orders as well, he declined saying that the other food waiter will come by to take our orders. After seemingly a good 10 mins with kitchen staff literally standing around not preparing food, the food waiter came. We placed our orders which were on the Lunch board menu and when asked if we can have our orders in a hurry the waiters rude comments were 'You want it fast? This is not Macdonalds you know!' To that remark, I decided to take my fish and chips business across the road and never patronise this restaurant again!

In a competitive restaurant market in London there is no room for bad service.

After a hard mornings speciality food shopping in Borough Market near London Bridge Station we came across a great modern looking fish restaurant with that something extra special look ! We were initially attracted by the line of about twenty people queuing outside Applebee;s for hand held takeaway prawn and salad wraps being cooked on a stall in front of the eatery, they smelt delicious.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and modern with tables inside and out and bar seating. The specials which included Dover Sole was very very good and the lunch menu extensive. Wine was a little pricey but was good. The service was good, quick and attentive and everything was cooked to order, you could see the cooking area which was clean and busy. The place had a buzz about it and is well worth a visit.

We stumbled across Applebee's Fish as we meandered through borough market. The restaurants name parallels that of a budget US restaurant, its food does not. My wife and I both had the Fish Soup and the Cod. The soup broth was similar to a lobster bisque and was generously filled with pieces of seafood. It was delicious. The cod was cooked to perfection and served on a bed of crushed new potatoes (yummy) and topped with oven roasted bell peppers. The bell peppers were slightly over done but the dish was very tasty and was well presented. The succulent cod lloin was a generous size.

We were both very pleased by our choice and the menu is priced competetively. I would like to see the lunch menu include a light Thai Tom Yam broth filled with seafood. Less filling for a lunch.

The staff were efficient and polite. This restaurant is worth more than one visit.
