“Best hotel in London for luxury and position”
Reviewed 19 May 2009

This is an amazing concept in hotels. It is based around fitness and food. Included in your hotel charge is the mini bar (full of healthy food and drink) as well as all the Internet you can use.

The staff (especially the manager) go out of their way to help you with every bit of your trip. Rooms are big, clean and modern. Food is also something special

When we got to the hotel, we were sat down and checked in while we were sitting down, once checked in. Took the lift to the 5th floor and the view was amazing! Bed and bathroom, clean and roomy and comfortable!
Breakfast was the best part, we had a choice of salmon, eggs, ceareals, different types of bread, juices and teas.
We were allowed to use internet, spa and gym!
Friendly staff, everywhere. It was a real pleasure to stay at the hotel!
I will recommend this hotel to any one of any age.

Stayed here for the first time over the may day weekend. the hotel was excellent - a large room which was quiet at night and a pleasant temperature cooled by excellent a/c. This is unusual for London hotels of any class.
Now come the but - hotel lacking in information re breakfast times - location of amenities. Breakfast itself was poor for a five star rated hotel - my wife sent her eggs back - they were cold . How do you fix it - stick it under the grill for five mins - now hard yolks - the way you fix it is to recook a fresh batch. Much prefer the buffet system at the Hilton. Second black mark - in room tea/coffee mug was chipped and was not replaced over our two day stay.
Overall as London hotels go this is excellent - just needs a few wee tweeks and it will be unbeatable.

It is a beautiful hotel but falls short on a number of levels. Check in was efficient but receptionist did not explain vagaries of 'key'. Difficult to open door and when one entered the rom was pitch black and difficult to turn on lights! (Key had to be inserted into spaecialdevice before lights worked...) THe hotel bar was loud and service stopped before 1 am on a friday night. At one on the dot I was ushered out to a corridor/lobby to finish my 17£ cocktail! The next morning there was no available/convenient socket to plug in the kettle. Also the hotel guide was overly designed and not easy to follow... On the plus side the bed was fantastically comfortable and the view from my(small) room was lovely!
