I stayed here on business, and found the location very convenient. Just a ten minute bus ride to Liverpool street station. Number 26 or 48, very convenient for the city of London.
The hotel was comparable with a premier inn, but with a few nicer little touches, such as complementary toiletries a minibar / fridge, ironing board and iron, biscuits, hot chocolate and tissues.
I agree with another reviewer that the shampoo and conditioner was not very good quality. My hair is normally ok with cheap shampoo in hotels if I use some decent conditioner but this shampoo left it like straw all day. That's the only real criticism, and it's such a minor point, but I would advise ladies to bring their own along.
The restaurant was very welcoming, I felt very at home watching the Olympics on a big screen with the other diners. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was better than I expected, it took a little while to come but it was freshly cooked.
I would highly recommend this hotel. One of the best things for me was being able to open the window, this was very welcome on a balmy evening, and practically unheard of these days in modern hotels.More
