“Very comfortable stay....”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break and were very impressed with the comfortable rooms and clean environment.

The hotel was very quiet and we were able to get a very good night sleep after a busy day in London.

It is in a v good location, walking distance to tube and bus routes which take you in to Central London.

Bar was quite pricey but that is much the same with most hotel bars.

Only downside was the water temp in the shower. I was very nearly scalded as the water seemed to be luke warm or scalding hot.

Me & my partner stayed for one night as a weekend getaway to explore London. The hotel was nice & in good condition however once we arrived we were greeted by ill-mannered staff. My partner parked outside and as he didn't know where the hotel car park was he walked in to ask a member of staff. The lady who spoke to him rudely and bluntly said the car park was full, so hearing this he asked where the nearest parking area was, to which she replied 'I don't know.' And then walked off. We parked at the side and checked in with another woman who was just as rude, and couldn't wait to get rid of me. She interrupted my sentences and snapped at me when I asked any questions. I asked again about the car park and a friendly male member of staff said there was some spaces left. Luckily he was very attentive and helpful. It was a shame about the other two women! I pay £100 less to stay at a travelodge with better service & welcome! These women need serious training or to be gotten rid of. On a good note however - lovely room and near to the bus stop which takes you into London.

I would not use this hotel again. Although my room was facing a side street, but even with the window closed, I was unable to sleep due to traffic noise. The wifi was not satisfactory with mobile phones (apparently it was ok with laptops/tablets). Room and bathroom size was ok but the bathroom although clean was not fresh smelling. On direct bus route from central London. Did not use bar or restaurant so cant comment on them.

Room Tip: I would imagine all rooms are noisey as I had a very noisy room facing a side street rather than the...

Stayed recently for two nights on business. Overpriced, long walk from tube station, road outside is very busy and noisy all night. Breakfast quality is poor with cheap sausages and what looks like tinned fruit.I also never got a reliable connection with the free WiFi. On plus aide, staff were helpful and beds comfortable.

I agree with another reviewer that this hotel has potential but in its current state I would be unlikely to stay again.

Nice and clean hotel, both the room and in general. Quality beds. Good feeling all over. Could benefit from a proper shower instead of in-the-tub. Friendly staff. Nice lounge and bar. Advertised free wifi below par as signals were very poor on the thired floor. A bit too far to the tube, but not a big problem. Restaurant food OK. Breakfast below par. The things they had was good, but the selection could have been wider.

Room Tip: The free wifi is not good. Don't plan on getting any Internet dependent work done in your room.

We stayed 4 nights at the back of the hotel and slept soundly. There are lots of buses just outside the hotel for fast access to Liverpool St. And you can walk 'at a healthy' pace' to dynamic Shoreditch and have breakfast in Leila's Shop on Calvert Avenue and dance til late at Christopher St. pub. Our room was comfy and very clean. But we would have liked a table lamp and there were no foreign TV channels. No slippers or bath robes but I guess that depends on the room rate.

Room Tip: Ask for room at rear of hotel. (like in every hotel)

The hotel is a ten - fifteen minute walk from the nearest tube station of Bethnal Green. The staff were busy but efficient. The room was quite quiet and clean. The fridge didn't work despite an 'engineer' coming to fix it, but the hotel kindly provided us with a complimentary breakfast to make up for the spoiled food we'd bought for snacks. The taxi firm partnered with the hotel (GPS London Cars) took us to our evening party destination, but at the end of the evening, didn't turn up for the appointed collection time. When we anxiously called them to find out where they were, they said the traffic was heavy (11.45pm), then quarrelled about the situation and refused to come and pick us up and return us to the hotel. Therefore, if you're planning something similar, I recommend you find an alternative taxi firm who will be reliable. It did cause us quite a bit of distress. We probably wouldn't stay again because of the taxi experience and because it's not close to cafes, shops, etc.
