“Reasonable Accommodation for a good price”

This is not a bad hotel, and for people visiting London, the connections are quite good with the Bus Stop outside (40 minutes to Oxford Street) and the tube station about 15 minutes walk away. Checking in was not great with a big queue that took 30 minutes to get through while the car was parked on a yellow line outside. Even with the check in complete, it took another 10 minutes to get somebody to let us in to the very secure garage in the basement of the hotel (Car size is limited because you have to drive into a lift to access the Car Park).

When we were checked in, our room on the first floor was near the lift and we could hear everyone that passed the door, although the walls must have been quite well soundproofed because we never heard any noise from either side. The rooms were quite basic but with everything you need for a short stay, although why we must still endure plastic shower curtains, I just cannot understand.

Breakfast was a good standard and had a good selection of fruit, cold meats, and hot options although my wife had to wait over 15 minutes for fresh bacon to arrive after it had previously run out. Nice Fresh Bread was available although the Tea and Coffee selection was also poorly serviced with cold flasks that were not replaced enough. Also, with tea you need Boiling water and the use of the flask with barely hot water ruined the taste!

The lounge and restaurant areas were modern and comfortable and for London, this was an affordable Hotel with a secure car park.

The complete deal - wait a moment
Is 30 minutes to check in - A Fair time to wait
Wait a moment at £13.50
The breakfast moment was a disappointment

It's fair to say it was a well clean room
Complete control with that air con. on
It's fair to say the shower certain did - cling to my bum
Complete control with that soft close - toilet seat
It's fair to say the fridge & Complimentary water - went down a treat

We've stayed at this hotel several times and during that period it has improved in a number of respects. It is not really in Shoreditch - more Hackney. That said, getting into theatre land and the city is easy either by direct and regular bus or if fit then on a BorisBike. Given traffic and roadworks approx 50 minutes. Very helpful staff generally. I have mobility limitations though not wheelchair and the facilities are excellent. The rooms are fairly simple but clean and comfortable. The TV can be slightly erratic in reception.
The foyer/bar is adequate though still rather a thoroughfare. We've not eaten there as frankly it seems quite expensive for what is offered. Breakfast across the road at a cafe if cheaper and perfectly sound and further up there is the Hackney Farm that does lovely and healthy breakfasts.
Not sure why a safety deposit of £50 is required on register when one has already paid in advance but maybe there are still some travellers who think it ok to nick stuff from rooms?
We've always been lucky to have quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Adequate if not luxurious.
Not sure how children would like it in some rooms but we are an elderly couple so require less space.

Room Tip: Check you get what you asked for in terms of size of bed(s) and shower and bath facilities as there...

The hotel name is misleading as it isn't in Shoreditch. It isn't ideal for a work trip as the nearest tube stop is a good 10-12 minutes away.

The room I was allocated was facing the street and very noisy. Unfortunately there wasn't any sound proofing or double glazing. The mattress is uncomfortable and felt cheap. Definitely not what you would expect from a 4 star.

The check in experience was extremely unpleasant. The staff member was ill informed and for some reason highly emotionally strung.

I don't plan on staying here again. Very disappointed.

Great location. Can walk to brick lane, Columbia road, Shoreditch, Spitalfields and Liverpool street within 15 minutes.

Great location for a young couple or friends going to nights out in East London.

Staff were friendly, only annoying this was after a heavy night we wanted a late check out...2 hours later and they tried to charge us £30, managed to get it down to £20 and the couple of hours extra in bed were definitely worth it.

Underwhelming hotel for business. Although it was inexpensive and served a good breakfast, I had many issues with the wifi and other service (e.g. waiting 30 minutes for a taxi, concierge unable to recommend any restaurants or things to see). It is isolated and a relatively long walk to any restaurants. Traveling alone, in a "dodgy" neighborhood, I wouldn't recommend this if you can afford to spend a bit more.

They need to change the name very deceiving all locals scratch there heads and wander whats going on,have we moved now?
Now where near Shoreditch like London Luton airport.even the staff agreed and smiled when I made comments about location, not the good end of Hackney road.Hotel very average okay clean.Had a good late deal so okay not to return again.

Room Tip: only stay if you get a good deal or have to be close to Hackney Bethnal green, not close to tube

Booked a room here for a weekend in Shoreditch, hotel was lovely, room was large, spacious & well equipped, comfy bed and a great sleep was had, staff friendly and helpful. A little bit of a trek to Shoreditch itself but great for local markets, Spittalfields, Brick Lane & Columbia Rd, overall more than happy.
