“Where do I start?”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This was undoubtedly the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. Like the previous reviewer, I felt sick only a few minutes after leaving and experienced sharp stomach rumbling, and had to park up whilst driving on the way back and run in to a random
hotel to do u know what :((.

And it is not £7.99. It was actually around £15.00 pp. Add overpriced drinks to that and you are looking at around £20 pp at dinner buffet. You can get a decent 2-3 course meal at most restaurants for that much.

There was hardly any variety. Around 13/14 dishes in total including the cheapest and lowest quality starters ever (nowhere near advertised amount of dishes)
and of those, only 5-6 were edible. Not sure who wrote the positive reviews. Please avoid this place at all costs. You will be doing yourself a huge favour. Trust me.

“£7.99....thats almost the price of a meal deal in M&S”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Ladies and gents,
Stop whinging about Kitchin N1, in the name of all that is holy, it's £7.99 for as much as you can stuff down your gullet. This is not Le Gavroche or Dinner by Heston Bloominheck....Its an all you can eat munchathon of excellent quality.
We went there for a leaving party for a group of now, sadly missed, colleagues. The drinks service was exceptional to say that there was only one waitress on duty. She tore around the covers like a banshee with consistant orders of booze and did a very good job.
The manager, whom i had booked the covers with, was amenable and professional throughout the afternoon and even, very kindly, extended our stay past closing time so that we could have speeches and present gifts etc.
In terms of the food, it is exceptional when you consider the tripe that is being turned out throughout London in the name of the buffet, especially in Chinatown and the like.
The meat was melt in the mouth and the sauces were well spiced. I even had a couple of little desserts and ice-cream that were delicious.
Well done Kitchin N1 for the exceptional value for money that you provide.

“Ashamed to be there !!”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

Never eaten such terrible food in my life. It didn't look good, it didn't taste good and we felt sick when we left.
Why I hear you ask !…..ok veg samosas were dried up pastry with no filling …….the chips looked old and shrivelled up…..the steamed rice and pilau were dry…….the naan was sweet !!!!…..all the mains looked unappetising……and the VEGETABLE CURRY…..what a disaster that was….no flavour whatsoever but lots and lots of oil and we couldn't even tell what it was supposed to be like…..DESERTS…..poor !!!!!!!……shrivelled up tiny gulab jamuns that resembled conkers……the ice cream was tasteless…….creme brûlée we thought had made it on to the wrong section as it was dead ringer for houmous…tasted awful……i had read that the chefs cook island style and was really looking forward to that…but sadly couldn't tell if the chefs were asleep or awake as there was no buzz or atmosphere…….we asked of the soup was suitable for vegetarians……they all asked each other but still didn't couldn't say yes or no…and they were the chefs…they made it !!!!!!!
Feel totally robbed and disappointed with this restaurant…..do not go there….it's awful !!!!!!!

Hi BabyJohnson,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our restaurant. With regard to you feeling sick, we assure that it could not have been our restaurant as we strictly adhere to all health guidelines.

We had no other complaints that day about the food making customers feel sick, so we are sure it was not our restaurant.

The food is correctly labeled at all times and it would have said whether or not the soup was vegetarian on these signs.

Regards,

KitchinN1

“Incredible dinner”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

I took my family to this place on the 9th for dinner. This is our second time here. The quality of the food was better than before and I feel that they are constantly improving the overall quality. The roasted meat section has grown considerably and there is a larger choice of Italian and chinese dishes. There are also more yummy desserts and there is achocolate fountain now with marshmellows. Overall an incredible choice and we need to return soon.

“Buffet Lunch - Dorothy Rodgers”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

I had been passed this restaurant many times, and decided to take my husband there for lunch today. We had an extremely enjoyable lunch (all you can eat for £7.99 - IN LONDON). The variety, quantity & quality of the food was extremely good and the staff were pleasant and helpful in every way. We shall definitely be going again, possibly with the family next time as we think it was excellent value for money. My husband was particularly happy with the soft ice cream he had for dessert (just a big kid really!).
