Description: Greig's Grill & Restaurant, in the heart of Mayfair, between New Bond Street and Berkeley Square, was established by the highly acclaimed restaurateur Alistair Greig, who gained a reputation for serving the best steaks in London. Greig’s hallmark dish was prime Scotch fillet steak sourced from a family butcher and cooked to order on a traditional coal grill.Greig’s Restaurant continues to uphold that tradition of top quality steaks and great British food, more than half a century later remaining a stronghold for lovers of prime steak everywhere. Combine this with our elegant wood paneled dining rooms, an extensive wine list, first class service and you have a dining experience to remember, from a lunch or dinner for two to a corporate or private event in one of our three private dining roomsWe cater for private parties between 4 - 42 guests and are more than willing to help in the planning and organisation of your event. We are very friendly here at Greig's so don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.

We were a group of six people, two Londoners, two french travelers and two kiwis. We were keen to try some english specialities and ordered steak & kidney pies, roast sirloin and fish & chips. It was copious and delicious. The restaurant was cosy and elegantly traditional. The waiting staff was warm, friendly and helpful. With the London pass, it was a really enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Just lunched again at Greig's and have to let a wider audience know what a truly remarkable place it is. In the heart of Mayfair but easy to get to, and with a relaxed ambience but professional, friendy service, it beats the local competition hands down. Four of us had a 3-course lunch with wine, in an unhurried atmosphere and no great damage to our finances.

Keep up the good work Roshdy Hakeem and team. We'll be back.

A great restaurant to go to for a meal as a treat. The atmosphere was very good and the staff hospitable and diligent with their guests. Both fish and steaks were delicious, together with fresh salad and the wine was excellent. Will definitely come back when another opportunity presents itself!

A group of us went to Greigs for dinner and were very disappointed indeed. The restaurant itself is clearly past its glory days, but is nice enough inside. However, the food was roundly disappointing with the meats overcooked and no effort made at presentation at all. Furthermore, the chips were clearly frozen oven chips in-spite of being labled as "handmade". The manager may leave a comment saying otherwise, but I know a frozen oven chip when I eat one!

We are deeply disappointed that you clearly did not have a good dining experience on this occasion. I would really appreciate if you could email me back on paolo@greigs.com to let me know the date that you dined with us. This way I can try to see if there was any possible explanation behind your disappointing meal.

Our meats should always be cooked to perfection. If they are not, the chef would be more than happy to cook a fresh new steak straight away, so we apologize if your meat was as you said, overcooked.

However, to categorically state that our handmade chips are frozen is an outlandish statement which we absolutely cannot accept. Perhaps the chips on this occasion were not to your liking, but our chips are cut from top quality potatoes and made every day in the kitchen and I would happily email you over photo's of the chips being prepared by our kitchen staff.

I look forward to your email.

Kind regards,

I spent the afternoon at this wonderful restaurant. I started with the Asparagus...which was to die for! Followed by the Sea Bass and mashed potatoes, all mouth-watering and delicious.
The rest of my family had steaks and lobster...and all said how fresh and delicious everything was. The service was exceptional...they made us all feel very welcome even though we arrived later than other restaurants would take lunch orders. Everyone felt relaxed and the staff couldn't have been more charming.
Delicious hot puddings with lashings of custard for dessert...I think we left after 5pm...we are definitely going back!
