Nice place to spend an hour looking at the history of Middlesbrough. The kids love the water room where they can run over the fish floor that is a motion sensor . They often have a different display downstairs that changes frequently. They have a massive collection of birds and eggs. A dinosaur room. Can't believe that's it's free entry as we'll.

The Dorman Museum is great for learning about all sorts of things and for a free Museum you cant fall off! Unfortunatly when I visited last year there were rumours of the place being closed due to lack of visitors! I hope that this is not the case and we can keep it open :)

Used to go as a child and it had a monster collection of bird eggs which were totally fascinating, thank goodness I and my friends had no desire to go onto that hobby which is largely illegal hopefully now, its has some really interesting exhibits and some which are rather second rate, but its really really worth going to have a walk around and call for a coffee, its a great local resource and worth a few hours of your time

So much to see and do. Took my 5year old niece and 80 year old mum - we all enjoyed it. Brought back childhood memories - glad the bees have gone though!
