Used to take the kids here all the time. We loved to let the run round in the two parks that are available, feed the ducks, play in the boats on the lake, go roller skating and stop for a cuppa in the cafe. On a nice day we would spend hours letting the kids play on the grass. You can always get an ice cream and chips here.

Visited the park after a visit to the adjacent Dorman Memorial Museum. Even though it was bitterly cold and quite windy we had a stroll around the park and my kids had fun in the junior play area. It really was a pleasant surprise to find this park in an industrial town such as Middlesbrough. Will make a return trip one summer comes.

After completing my daughters' move into student accommodation, Albert Park was a welcome sight to relax in. To be fair, didn't walk around all of it(100 acres), but what I did see, I really enjoyed. Flower beds were immaculate and it is a open space that is well maintained. Plenty of benches to sit on and probably the widest range of amenities in a City Park, I have come across, boating, fishing, play areas, sports areas, cafe. It was pretty quiet when, we were there, but it is so big, there would be no problem finding a quiet spot. As someone who is keen on History, plenty here to see. A Crimean War cannon, South African War Memorial, Cenotaph, War Memorial Gates and flower beds dedicated to Military units and the Fire Service. I saw a football statue on a small hill and surprised to find out it was Brian Clough, which was a bonus. Plenty to photograph, bandstand, fountain in addition to the above. Very relaxing, well managed, clean park.
