“Great value for money”

We stayed in the annex of this small hotel and found it in good condition. The small room was very clean, as was the ensuite. The breakfast was very good and the staff were both welcoming and helpful. We were in Norwich for a football match and the location was excellently placed for travelling to the stadium and catching the train home. It was also only a short walk from the market area of the city.

Room Tip: We stayed in the annex which was quiet with a view of the river.

On arrival it was quick and efficient, had to pay £5 for on street parking not happy about that! as most hotels are free parking, we had booked a three bed room for £75 + £15 for breakfast, we set off to room number 5,on arrival at room number 5 it looked from the outside like a broom cupboard, but once the door was opend it revealed a very steep flight of stairs to the secret room in the attic, visions of Narnia sprang to mind! the adventure was about to begin! on reaching the top of the stairs we found ourselves in a attic room with no windows, this was an absolute first for me! never have I stayed in a windowless hotel room before and was a total new experience, we then found if you opened the ensuite door we could have daylight through the bathroom window, the bedroom was cleen but the carpets stained and the room looking tired, the hotel could be described as shabby chic, well more shabby than chic! Its in need of a revamp, breakfast was good. Close to the railway station and the town night life, more like a place to stay on a lads night out!

Room Tip: Don't choose room 5 it's windowless!

The so called beds you are unable to sleep on as the spring were the only part of the bed you can feel.
There is a constraint smell of waste from the bath room .There is not a chair in the room and the only place to put or hand your cloths was on a 2 foot open rail that was above the tea and coffee table.
The TV in the room only worked on one channel.
The breakfast although it was served fast was cold and if you didn’t want anything no replacement was given.

Room Tip: Find another hotel

myself and two friend visited the central hotel to stay whilst on a night out in norwich. We are in are third yr of uni and wanted a nice little place to stay while we let our hair down a bit. When entering the room the first thing we saw was the horrible dirty walls, no heating, no blind at the bathroom window, and even dirt in the sink it was totally rank. no appoligies for the state of the room was given.

i would advise the hotel owners to update the pictures to what the rooms actually do look like and oh also beware you maybe closer to your other room guest than u thought as we were woken to a little bedroom activity above, paper thin walls spring to mind!!!!!!

Do not stay at this hotel it is over priced for what i can only describe and as a dirty smelly hostle room.

For those travellers on a budget this is possible the best value for money accommodation in the Norwich area and you will not regret making this your place to stay.

The welcome at the Central Hotel was pleasant and efficient.

My room was very clean, in good decorative order and above all was warm and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and benefited from nice crisp clean linen. I choose to stay in a standard nom en suite room, the room did benefit from a wash basin, however the bathroom down the corridor was always clean and tidy.

The television has the basic channels; free view might be an upgrade that the hotel should consider sooner rather than later.

The hotels situation could not been better, some 2 mins walk from the mainline railway station with trains every 30 minutes to London, then some 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre and the bus station and main shopping centre, bus depart from the stop at the rail station to the centre at regular intervals for the 5 minute journey to the centre or onward to the university and the main hospital.

All in all excellent budget accommodation to which I will be definitely returning
