“Brilliant Value for money”

Stayed overnight 26th May 2012. Room 7. £66 for double bed and breakfast. Couldn't fault the stay. Comfortable bed, tea & Coffee in room. Powerful shower. All freshly decorated. Excellent cooked breakfast. Short walk from Train Station and new entertainment area, just a little longer to walk into the City. Friendly staff. Much better than local lodge / inn type accommodation. It is on a main road, but not too much night noise.

Recently stayed in straceys for norwich v celtic match. Fantastic hotel in every way. Five mins walk from station and river/city centre. Newly decorated, designer hotel. Great rooms, recently decorated, very friendly staff. Didnt look too inspiring from the outside but we were very pleasantly surprised when we walked into. Well done to the owners for making a real effort to create a pleasant, stylish place to stay at an affordable price.

We have stayed in this hotel several times now and always find it very clean, with nice rooms, excellent staff and service. Very handy position for the city shopping and restaurants. This time we took over the hotel for my husbands birthday celebrations, we had a great couple of days, the buffet was great, room worked out really well (46 guests) and Mary and Martin made sure the evening was a great success. Will definitely stay again and use for future parties,

We stayed at the Stracey for 2 nights in April. After a long haul from Sydney, Australia via Hong Kong, needless to say, we just wanted to get to the Stracey, have a shower and sleep. The bedroom was fantastic. Comfy bed, great showers facilities, clean and tidy.

We arrived rather late taking the coach in from Heathrow and we were delighted to see someone at the desk waiting for our arrival. Great customer service and friendly.

We had room 5, which had a front facing view, but sadly the signal to the wifi was weak. We had to go out to the lobby to access the net. We couldn't' make any out going calls, but the staff were nice enough to let us use the front desk.

You definitely get your bang for your buck, and we would recommend getting the breakfast included with your stay. It was delicious!

All in all, this place is a gem, and we wouldn't hesitate coming back here again!

Room Tip: Room 5 didn't have good wifi connection.

Stayed for 1 night. Good sizeclean room, with tea, coffee making facilities and biscuits. Pleased to have freeview TV. Bathroom really spacious and the shower was one of the best I have had! Excellent breakfast and both the staff we met were friendly, polite and helpful.

This hotel looks new...very new. Its great. My room (5) was small but had a full bathroom attached via a small private lobby area. Water was hot, very, cold water was cold, very. All the usual stuff with freeview on the TV, tea and coffee etc.

OK, there have to be some bad bits and they sadly are the bits we all remember...... All minor but....The steps up to the front door are....er...a bit strange (odd but they are) and hard to get up if, like me, you have iffy knees. The wi-fi did not work in my room (5) unless I sat in the lobby area (!) and there was no rubber mat in the bath, but there was a sign advising how to use it. I asked for one and it never arrived.

It is a bit of a hike uphill all the way from the station and OUT of town (Use the ramp down the side of the station to the left as you look at it (or right as you exit) and save about 5 mins on the walk. Top of ramp left, then right on main road).

Staff were all great and helpful (bath mat aside). I did say I wanted to settle my balance in cash, but they charged my card......

See, told you they were minor. Everything else great. Would I go again. You bet.

Room Tip: Not five if you need the net.....
