“Delightful, comfortable, perfect scrambled eggs & good coffee!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2009

My wife and I were visiting Norwich to see a very poorly relative in hospital. The journey was made at short notice after receiving a phone call from my wife's parents. They were staying at Little Willows and arranged for us to stay with them that night.

On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful gardens and setting of the property. Our 4 year old son, Joe, who had just endured a 5 hour car journey, was delighted at being chased around the garden by Sally's little dog, Lola. Sally made us feel most welcome.

The guest house is delightful, clean, modern and well equipped. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and we would have enjoyed a good nights sleep had we not made the mistake of allowing Joe to share our bed!!

Two important things for me personally are good coffee and a good shower, which I rarely find when staying away on business trips. Filter coffee and caffitiere were provided in the kitchen and the shower was great.

None of us normally eat cooked breakfasts, but I have to say Sally's cooking was most enjoyable. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. We particularly enjoyed waking up to the sound of the cockerel crowing in the morning.

Although the purpose of our visit was rather sad, Sally's place brightened up our stay and we will certainly stay their again when we return to Norfolk.

On recommendation by other colleagues who had stayed here, my colleague and I arrived the evening before our two days of business meetings in the area and were warmly welcomed by Sally and her friendly little dog, Lola. The cottage was spacious, elegantly furnished and warm (despite it being a bit chilly outdoors) and the availability of a good wireless internet connection meant that we were able to keep in touch with the office.

The beds were very comfortable, rested us well and, with excellent and hearty breakfasts from Sally each morning, we left fully prepared for business.

The location was ideal for us as, even though Little Willows is in a beautiful rural setting, Norwich is within very easy reach. This accomodation is everything that had been recommended (and more!) and, with so many things to do within easy driving distance, we are both considering booking time here with our families in the Summer!

We stayed at Sally's wonderful B&B whilst visiting family over Christmas. The warm and genuine welcome Sally gave us made us feel at home. The above average accommodation is in a separate single storey building to the main house which made us feel that we had rented a cottage rather than feeling we were staying in a B&B.

Little Willows is thoughtfully and comfortably furnished to the highest standards and is immaculately clean and tidy. We opted to self cater and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. Little Willows is located very close to Norwich and within an easy drive of the Broads. There are many excellent restaurants nearby.

The atmosphere Sally has created is calm and peaceful. It really is as beautiful as it looks on her website. This was our second stay with Sally and we will definitely be returning soon.

The pity was my wife and I only stayed for one night as we were unfortunately attending a funeral nearby. Despite website descriptions and photos I always reserve judgement on accomadation until I have experienced it. It was excellent.
The cottage is extremely well furnished and has lots of little touches that make it stand out. Sally explained, that having stayed in numerous places when she worked for an airline, when designing this accomadation she covered all the niggles she had encountered, thereby ensuring guests felt their home comforts were catered for. It certainly works as it hard to fault.
Sally was an excellent host and the breakfast next morning which she cooked was very good.
We have promised ourselves we will return to really enjoy it, as it was such a pleasant experience and is in a lovely peaceful location. We have already recommended this to a number of friends.

Decor throughout was perfect, although the Terrace room was small, it was more than adequate for a night away. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess very helpful and friendly without being imposing. We had a lovely break and would highly recommend the place to anyone.
