My wife and I were visiting Norwich to see a very poorly relative in hospital. The journey was made at short notice after receiving a phone call from my wife's parents. They were staying at Little Willows and arranged for us to stay with them that night.
On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful gardens and setting of the property. Our 4 year old son, Joe, who had just endured a 5 hour car journey, was delighted at being chased around the garden by Sally's little dog, Lola. Sally made us feel most welcome.
The guest house is delightful, clean, modern and well equipped. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and we would have enjoyed a good nights sleep had we not made the mistake of allowing Joe to share our bed!!
Two important things for me personally are good coffee and a good shower, which I rarely find when staying away on business trips. Filter coffee and caffitiere were provided in the kitchen and the shower was great.
None of us normally eat cooked breakfasts, but I have to say Sally's cooking was most enjoyable. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. We particularly enjoyed waking up to the sound of the cockerel crowing in the morning.
Although the purpose of our visit was rather sad, Sally's place brightened up our stay and we will certainly stay their again when we return to Norfolk.
